A. Background Objectives
BACKGROUND
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) is a regional multilateral development finance institution established in 1963 with a mandate to further the economic development and social progress of African countries, individually and collectively.
The Bank has approximately over 2000 staff members, who have been recruited from a wide geographic area only limited by membership in the Bank. There are currently 80 different nationalities from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas represented within the Bank making the institution multicultural in every sense of the word. The Bank has two official languages: English and French. It co-operates with a large network of international development partners.
The strategic objective of the Corporate Information Technology Department (TCIS) at the Bank is to align the IT delivery strategy along with the Bank’s business strategy, to increase the organizational effectiveness through efficient use of the Information Systems (IS). Under the leadership of the Bank’s Information System’s Director, TCIS department is mandated by the Bank to deliver the best possible IT services for Bank staff, and help achieve the results that will get the Bank closer to accomplishing its development goals.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the consultancy includes:
• Consult, develop, configure, and deploy SAP developments for IFMIS project implementation for the SNFI department in the Bank.
B. Scope of work
The consultant will undertake the following duties:
• Gather the Bank’s requirements.
• Design and develop the solution based on users’ specifications.
• Transport the developed solution from the Development platform to the Quality Assurance platform in the SAP landscape.
• Develop and contribute to development of Fiori apps
• Follow up with the users and other key Bank staff in carrying out the quality assurance tests and effect requested amendments and corrections. Provide the required documentation.
• Ensure seamless integration to existing enhancements and standard SAP modules already in within the Bank.
• Provide the required documentation.
• Ensure knowledge proper transfer to Bank’s Staff.
• Perform any SAP ABAP development based on users’ specifications.
C. Deliverables Expected
The following is the list of expected deliverables during and at the end of the assignment:
• Working SAP S4 Applications development and configurations.
• Fiori Development Best Practices and Standards
• Outline System Specifications
• Physical data flows.
• Common routines and utilities.
• Program specifications or prototypes.
• Backup, recovery and restart procedures.
• Program Designs
• Systems that meet functional design specifications
• System and program tests
• System and program documentation
• Physical System Designs.
D. Duration and Timetable for the Assignment
The assignment period is expected for six (06) months.
E. Bank Contribution and Institutional Arrangement

F. Duty Station
The work will be carried remotely and at Bank’s headquarter at Abidjan, Ivory Coast or Remote.
G. Essential Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Competencies
• At least Master / Engineering degree in Computer Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years with technical development experience in SAP ABAP environment with at least 3 years’ experience in SAP S/4 HANA
• Minimum 3 years with FIORI/UI5/ODATA
• Completed at least 3 projects implementing SAP Fiori Applications using SAP Fiori based on SAPUI
• Masters Fiori Development Best Practices for SAP UI/UX in UI5 based development
• Experience of ABAP development in SAP Finance module is a plus.
• Certification in SAP developments (ABAP, FIORI/UI5, Net weaver, Portal...) is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French or English is a must.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Great problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience in designing/architecting complex solutions
• Excellent in documenting specification and technical solutions
H. Supervisor
The consultant will work under the direct supervision of one staff of the Corporate Application Services. He will report directly to this staff member and is expected to follow his guidelines in terms of work assignments and priorities.
